IN the glorious revolution we're experiencing, where laptops are traded for aetheric literation devices with microhydrodynamic core boilers, and airships carry us into exotic lands... it's good to know that the gallery scene isn't without an eye on the artwork spawned by this revolt against the modern.
The Helix Gallery in little Farmersville, Texas is holding a steampunk-gaslamp-industrial-neofuturist show, opening May 9th, that promises to be a haven for the Nouveau Victoriana and ProtoFuture we've all come to love and adore.
While I don't have my dunny anymore, I will be making fecund work for the show, and I hear
Weta Workshop have signed on to show their wonderful
rayguns there, for the first time ever in a US gallery. : ) Oh, and
Studio Foglio is sending something. It will be astounding to hang alongside such notable steampunky creators.
The wee flyer I whipped together is above, as you might have observed. ; p
